Following the epic clash in the previous chapter, anticipation hangs heavy in the air for One Piece Chapter 1111 penned by series creator Eiichiro Oda, has reached new heights. Picking up right where we left off, the chapter dives straight into the heart of the battle. Luffy, alongside the mighty giants Dorry and Brogy, continues their onslaught against the three transformed Gorosei members. Meanwhile, Saint Shepherd Ju Peter, his yokai form defeated, lies incapacitated in his Sand Wyrm form. We also see the return of Saint Marcus Mars in his Itsumade form, confirming the impregnability of the Labo-Phase due to the Frontier Dome.

The story then shifts focus to Zoro. Jinbe, aware of the unfolding chaos, attempts to brief him on the situation as they make their escape from Lucci. While Jinbe urges caution and escape, Zoro's unwavering loyalty likely compels him to charge towards Luffy's aid. Jinbe, understanding his determination, might reluctantly guide him rather than fight alongside him. We then get a glimpse of Sanji, or perhaps Jinbe reaches out to inform him of the situation. Inspired by the fight for freedom, Sanji rejoins the fray, bolstering Luffy's forces. Back in the main battleground, the chapter delves deeper into Ju Peter's healing process. Luffy, Dorry, and Brogy engage the Gorosei in a fierce battle, showcasing any unique abilities these formidable opponents might possess. As the chapter reaches its climax, Nusjuro's sudden arrival throws the fight off balance, tipping the scales in favor of the Gorosei. However, a glimmer of hope emerges as Ju Peter completes his regeneration, making it a three-on-five brawl. The final panels deliver a jaw-dropping moment: the silhouette of the future Pirate King arrives on the scene, evening the odds and setting the stage for an epic five-on-five showdown that promises to leave fans eagerly awaiting the next chapter.

Marcus Mars

Saint marcus mars is one of the five elders who publicly head the world government, holding the title of warrior god of environment. Along with the other elders, he is one of the main antagonists in the final saga and one of the overarching antagonists of the one piece series. As a member of the five elders, mars is one of the few to have the "Highest authority of the world government", being above even the world nobles. He has control over every facet of the world government, including the police, the marines, and cipher pol, and even the fleet admiral of the marines is incapable of challenging his power. As a result, he has authority to declare a buster call, and he and the other elders can use their great degree of power to manipulate the media and withhold facts from the general public, including erasing entire segments of history, most notably the void century. The only known person who seems to outrank the world nobles is imu.

Marcus Mars

Mars has an ability that allows him to transform into a giant bird-like creature, it also has a ring around it. In this form, he could withstand a point-blank blast of fire from sabo without difficulty. It is unknown if this power is related to a zoan-type devil fruit. Mars carries a flintlock, which he intended to use to execute nefertari cobra for seeing imu.Like the other elders, mars cares about the balance in the world maintained by the three great powers and wishes to maintain it. This also includes preserving the image of the world government by keeping the events of the void century a secret, and he and the other elders will immediately have anyone destroyed who is found to be studying it. During the ohara incident, he was courteous to clover, acknowledging the scholar's achievements and justifying the danger of reviving the ancient weapons. At the time of ordering the killing of scholars, mars was seriously embarrassed when he gave that order. He appears to view the nefertari family's rejection of life on mary geoise harshly, as he stated that such an action makes them traitors. He will obey any order given by imu without question, as he views imu to be a "Creator" who alone has the power to shape the course of the world. Mars has been shown to be extremely callous, as he had no issue with annihilating a highly populated country and justified it because its populace had started to show signs of rebellion.

While other elders have occasionally struggled with their composure in the wake of massive threats, mars has always been shown with a calm and stoic demeanor. He seems to keep profiles on people, allowing him to be discerning when discussing them, as he knew that shanks' personality made his contact with whitebeard less threatening. He also knew that blackbeard's past would give him a great advantage in replacing whitebeard as an emperor, and wanted to know the connection between luffy and rayleigh.

Like the other elders, he has little tolerance for people of lower rank challenging their authority, as shown during the elders' meeting with marine fleet admiral sakazuki.

Topman Warcury

Saint topman warcury is one of the five elders who publicly head the world government, holding the title of warrior god of justice. Along with the other elders, he is one of the main antagonists in the final saga and one of the overarching antagonists of the one piece series. As a member of the five elders, warcury is one of the few to have the "Highest authority of the world government", being above even the world nobles.

Topman Warcury

Warcury has an ability that allows him to transform into a creature with tusks or wing-like appendages and noticeable long ears. In this form, he could withstand a point-blank blast of fire from sabo without difficulty. It is unknown if this power is related to a zoan-type devil fruit.

Warcury carries a flintlock, which he intended to use to execute nefertari cobra for seeing imu.

Like the other elders, warcury cares about the balance in the world maintained by the three great powers and wishes to maintain it. He appears to be patient, as he was content to observe shanks' potentially threatening actions and not rush to intervene. However, he cursed crocodile and luffy for threatening the balance when the latter removed the former from the seven warlords of the sea, saying that luffy could not be forgiven. He also wishes to preserve the image of the world government by keeping the events of the void century a secret, and he and the other elders will immediately have anyone destroyed who is found to be studying it.

He appears to take positions of authority seriously, as he disapproved of admiral aokiji going off on his own without telling anyone. Like the other elders, he has little tolerance for people of lower rank challenging their authority, as shown during the elders' meeting with marine fleet admiral sakazuki instead of threatening or making hostile moves towards the fleet admiral, but warcury was especially abrasive toward sakazuki, reminding him of his place and failures by mentioning how aokiji had joined forces with blackbeard. He takes rebellion very seriously and said the annihilation of the lulusia kingdom could serve as an example to other unsettled governments.

Compared to the other elders, warcury has appeared to display shreds of conscience regarding the lives of his subjects. When imu ordered for the lulusia kingdom to be annihilated, warcury brought up the fact that the kingdom was heavily populated; however, he had no qualms about going through with it once imu reaffirmed the decision. He also seems to value racial harmony, as he was displeased to hear of jinbe's resignation from the seven warlords of the sea, which had maintained bonds between humans and fish-men.

Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro

Saint ethanbaron v. Nusjuro is one of the five elders who publicly head the world government, holding the title warrior god of finance. Along with the other elders, he is one of the main antagonists in the final saga and one of the overarching antagonists of the one piece series. As a member of the five elders, nusjuro is one of the few to have the "Highest authority of the world government", being above even the world nobles. He has control over every facet of the world government, including the police, the marines, and cipher pol, and even the fleet admiral of the marines is incapable of challenging his power. As a result, he has authority to declare a buster call, and he and the other elders can use their great influence and power to manipulate the media and withhold facts from the general public, including erasing entire segments of history, most notably the void century. The only known person who seems to outrank the world nobles is imu.Nusjuro has an ability that allows him to transform into a tall, lanky bipedal creature with a pronounced humanoid head and a large ring-like appendage on his back. In this form, he could withstand a point-blank blast of fire from sabo without difficulty. It is unknown if this power is related to a zoan-type devil fruit.

Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro

Nusjuro carries a long katana with him, bearing a saya with a distinctly wooden appearance as well as a tsuba shaped like a rounded-out cross pattée, thus reminiscent of the kitetsu line of swords originating in wano. Nusjuro has been seen personally polishing his sword's blade with an uchiko silk ball, and while his actual skill in wielding the weapon remains unknown, nusjuro did unsheathe it when intending to assassinate king cobra.

Having received their orders from imu, the elders then also received a call from marine headquarters revealing they had traced sabo to lulusia, and the elders took note of this stroke of fortune as the lulusia kingdom was completely annihilated by the mother flame soon afterward, with the five elders declaring it never existed in the first place.

The five elders also received a call by york, who was aspiring to become a celestial dragon, that vegapunk was doing forbidden research on the void century and decided to send a squad of cp0-agents to assassinate vegapunk and all his satellites, including york.

Following saturn departing to egghead, the remaining elders in the room of authority were contacted by york again. While their conversation was overheard by saturn and kizaru, nusjuro complimented the satellite for having survived this long, before questioning her about cp0 and the straw hats on the island. Upon the elders negotiating a deal with her, york revealed that she needed saving from luffy before he kills her, much to nusjuro's shock.

Shepherd Ju Peter

Saint shepherd ju peter is one of the five elders, the public heads of the world government, and holds the title warrior god of agriculture. Along with the other elders, he is one of the main antagonists in the final saga and one of the overarching antagonists of the one piece series. As one of the five elders, the highest-ranking celestial dragons, ju peter and his four peers are considered the "Highest authority of the world government",though in secret are subservient to imu, the occupant of the empty throne. Ju peter thus controls every part of the government, including but not limited to the cipher pol agencies and marine hq, with even the fleet admiral unable to challenge the elder's power. Like anyone of or below the rank of marine admiral, the five elders can declare a buster call to destroy any island deemed a threat, as well as deploy the mother flame on behalf of imu to annihilate islands without a trace. The elders can also channel their tremendous power to manipulate the media, such as to withhold facts from the general public or outright erase segments of history, most notably regarding the void century.Ju peter has an unspecified ability allowing him to transform into a giant, humanoid creature with a large mouth. In this form, he could withstand a point-blank fire blast from sabo without trouble. It is unknown if this power is derived from a zoan-type devil fruit.Ju peter carries a flintlock with him, which he intended to use to execute nefertari cobra for seeing imu.

Following saturn departing to egghead, the remaining elders in the room of authority were contacted by york again. While their conversation was overheard by saturn and kizaru, york asked them why they intended to kill her as well, with marcus mars replying she was still a vegapunk after all. Upon the elders negotiating a deal with her, york revealed that she needed saving from luffy before he kills her, much to ju peter's shock.

After hearing luffy declare that he will become the pirate king over the den den mushi and demanded that the marine fleet retreat if they valued york's life, marcus mars tried to fish for information on the current situation of the labophase. Luffy revealed that there were some injured on his side, but was interrupted by another voice and the call was cut before luffy could divulge any more information. Ju peter commented that the other voice belonged to a woman, and wondered aloud if it belonged to nico robin.

Are The Gorosei The Most Powerful Figures Within The World Government?

Referred to as the Pinnacle Authority of the World Government, the Five Elders hold unparalleled political influence, surpassing even their counterparts, the World Nobles, and ranking just below Im. They exercise absolute dominion over all government-affiliated entities, including Cipher Pol units and the Marines, with unwavering obedience to their directives. Remarkably, even the highest-ranking figure within the Marines, the Fleet Admiral, may find their orders subject to the Elders' veto power. Their jurisdiction extends to the authorization of Buster Call operations against perceived threats, which they can delegate to lower-ranking World Government agents. For nearly a millennium, their decisions have significantly shaped the world, including the eradication of numerous adversaries and scholars in their relentless pursuit to suppress research related to the enigmatic Void Century.

Five Elders

The narrative trajectory within the series suggests that ascendancy within the World Government largely hinges on one's power. By this rationale, it becomes plausible to surmise that those who command the mightiest military force in the One Piece world occupy the uppermost echelons of authority. Notably, the Elders exhibit indications of combat prowess; their formidable appearances, marked by imposing physicality and battle scars, bespeak encounters with danger. Additionally, their willingness to engage in closed-door discussions with formidable figures such as Shanks implies a certain level of confidence in their own abilities, as they would not entertain such encounters with potential adversaries.

gorosei

Intriguingly, one of the Gorosei members with a Gandhian demeanor wields what appears to be the Shodai Kitetsu, a Saijo o Wazamono grade sword, known for its cursed nature. To wield such a "cursed" sword demands unwavering willpower and mastery of Haki, a testament to the wielder's worthiness. Given the immense challenge that even Zoro faced in taming the formidable Enma, one of the 21 esteemed grade swords, one can only imagine the sheer strength required to wield one of the twelve Supreme Grade swords, exemplified by the Shodai Kitetsu, renowned as the most accursed within the Kitetsu lineage. Any lingering doubts about their strength should be dispelled; the Five Elders are undeniably formidable, quite possibly the most potent figures within the World Government.

With this revelation, one might ponder whether the Five Elders will eventually assume an active combat role in the unfolding saga of One Piece.
