What’s New in the “Reimagined” Version?

The “UNC Reimagined” stays true to the original 1985 design, featuring the signature white base and “Dark Powder Blue” overlays that nod to Michael Jordan’s alma mater, the University of North Carolina. However, this version introduces subtle yet striking vintage elements, including:

  • Cracked leather at the collar for a worn-in look.

  • Yellowing on the midsole to evoke a retro feel.

  • Whitened outsole to complete the aged aesthetic.

These details echo the success of the “Lost & Found” release, which captivated fans with its nostalgic design.

A Legacy of Iconic Iterations

The Air Jordan 1 High OG “UNC” has long been a fan favorite, with its classic colorway symbolizing MJ’s roots. Over the years, the silhouette has seen several notable reinterpretations, including Virgil Abloh’s Off-White version debuted at the 2018 Met Gala and Chrome Hearts’ luxury take on the design.

The “Reimagined” series continues this tradition, offering a fresh perspective on timeless models while honoring their heritage.

What to Expect Next

While the official imagery is still under wraps, sneaker enthusiasts can expect more updates as the release date approaches. The “UNC Reimagined” is poised to be one of the standout drops of 2024, blending classic style with modern storytelling.

Mark your calendars for May 10, 2024, and stay tuned for further details. Whether you’re a longtime fan of the Air Jordan 1 or a newcomer to the sneaker world, the “UNC Reimagined” is a must-have addition to your collection.

LeBron x Nike Air Max 1 Reverse Liverpool

Los Angeles Lakers Superstar The GOAT LeBron James has owned a 2% stake in Liverpool FC. This year, and James have once again begun rolling out another apparel collection to celebrate James’ involvement with the football club. Earlier this year, James and Nike unveiled the Nike LeBron 9 Low in “Reverse Liverpool”.
Now, the pair have joined forces to reveal yet another Liverpool-focused colorway for the Nike Air Max 1. The shoe arrives in a color blocking nod to the Liverpool F.C. kits and sees the Air Max 1 come constructed in a mixed mesh and leather makeup. The panels on the upper are dressed in green and black leather and white mesh, while the Nike Swoosh is highlighted in black. The insoles are detailed in the franchise’s signature red palette. Nods to Fenway Sports Group, You’ll Never Walk Alone (YNWA) and Strive for Greatness (SFG) are seen as insignias on the heels as well as on the co-branded insoles and special packaging. The shoe sits atop a bold green speckled outsole to round out the design. The LeBron x Nike Air Max 1 “Liverpool” is slated to arrive by the end of the year in select retailers and on Nike.

Yeezy Day 2022: What To Expect From The Event

Since 2019, the one who now refers to himself as Ye kickstarted his YEEZY Day footwear initiative — an annual two-day event that is undeniably one of the biggest festivities on the sneaker release calendar. It’s designed to commemorate the creative genius’ coveted empire with adidas (XETRA:ADS.DE +3.28%) , entails restocks of a multiplicity of past colorways and introductions of new installments, and it’s expected to return this year.

The complete catalog for YEEZY Day 2022 still remains in the realm of the unknown, but a source that’s close to OnePieceStone confirmed that all of the action will commence on August 2 in the US and Canada and will continue on August 3 in Europe, China, Japan and Korea. This year marks the first time that Japan and Korea’s markets will be included in the mix. You can expect a vast array of footwear reissues in this rollout such as the return of the groundbreaking adidas YEEZY BOOST 350 “Turtle Dove” for the first time since its 2015 debut, the YEEZY BOOST 700 V2 “Static” and the YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 “Core Red.” Inaugurations of the YEEZY FOAM RNNR “MX Carbon,” YEEZY 450 “Utility Black,” YEEZY 700 BOOST “High-Res Blue” and the YEEZY KNIT RNNR “Fade Azure” (US exclusive) are also on deck, as well as kids sizes for various previously-launched colorways. Those that are based in the US and Canada will be able to try their hand at each release via YEEZY SUPPLY and the CONFIRMED app, while Europe and APAC regions will see their drops hit the CONFIRMED app. Exact details for the release procedure that day haven’t been announced just yet, but if it all goes down in a similar fashion to previous years, it’s likely that the YEEZY offerings will drop in 30-minute increments. Keep an eye out for more information related to the full list of colorways that are dropping and get your wallets ready to add more YEEZYs to your rotation.
