My current theory about the spirit of the original davy back is that nobody in the d clan can be forcibly taken in a domi reversii. That davy and the ds would be immune makes sense as if the terms were set by the original champions, likely imu and nika or davy. Since nika is a devil fruit now, I find davy to possibly be the better pick.
Given that should the rules dictate that nika is against imu, it would make sense that he would incarnate as a devil fruit, forever to be reborn, searching for a suitable player for the board.
Xebec could have even treated entering the flower room and seeing imu in person as an opportunity to enter the game.
It seems telling that cheating is encouraged and that imu never takes out a davy by themselves. Is it possible that they are using the rabbit hunt to circumvent the rules? Would that mean that xebec in the game makes the god valley survivable because it applied the rules reserved to a davey clan member?
No way so many people make it off the island without an incredible reason and that might be it!
