This flashback started out strong but it started to go a bit downhill for me with the whole kuja pirates chapters and the reason for the god valley raid. When sengoku first mentioned god valley and all the pirates involved, I thought that it's gonna be so hype when we finally reach that point. But now that we're finally seeing it happen, it kinda feels underwhelming.
Just a few clashes here and there, some uncharacteristic moments from our future yonkos and oda wasting half of the chapter creating fake suspense with sommers everyone running to save shakky, sommers typical villain speech, "They're so close to saving you but you will die anyway, waaaa," then the hero comes on the last second. Like, we know shakky is alive in the present, but I don't remember the last time oda made me feel the dangerous situation he's trying to convey. I just hope that on the next few chapters when rocks, garling/other holy knights and saturn start to get involved more and more oda will change my mind, and hopefully, hopefully, we get something more than just a few haki clashes.
