I think power scaling wise it'd be better if he doesn't join, otherwise you have to write a glaring weakness in his power or he's just your auto win button. True however I predict that oda will add some form of weakness to loki. Oda typically always gives allied characters some kind of weakness to maintain the stakes though making loki the exception would be a breath of fresh air. When it comes to joining the crew, I like loki's backstory but I can't say I want him as a strawhat especially considering his dream is most likely going to be the destruction of the world government which is a contradiction with the rest of the strawhats whose dreams could be considered more positive in nature.
I personally still want yamato to join the crew in the near future because I find her funny but also someone with a lot of potential to grow from imitating someone to actually being her own unique person with goals of her own. Her abilities are currently unique to the rest of the crew and she possesses all three haki, she also shouldn't interfere with the powerscaling. This explains why they left elbaf untouched for 14 yrs until now. Imu felt it wasn't worth it to risk another knight to loki's power, and also deemed elbaf as tainted with the will of d, their enemy. Until imu killed saturn, freeing up space for a new contract which was offered to loki. I think ragnir has the power of the different realms, it may have an element for each of the 9 realms. Like fire for muspell, ice for nifl and lightning for asgard since thor is from there.
